520 Wings

Starland District · wings, chicken

A Starland wing shop founded in 2011 by Savannah resident Gary Gordon and named for his birthday, May 20th. Savannah Magazine readers voted it Best Wings in 2026, as they did in 2024. A local notes it stays open until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays.

Abe's on Lincoln

Historic District North

A side-street bar a block off Bay Street. Eat It and Like It (14 May 2024): 'This bar's claim to fame? Art. In the form of hundreds of renditions of Abraham Lincoln drawn (by locals and tourists alike) on cocktail napkins.' The same piece says it has seating inside and out and is dog-friendly.

Alley Cat Lounge

Historic District North

The address is a lane, not a street ... Broughton Lane runs behind the shops on West Broughton. The bar calls itself 'a classy 1870's hidden gem basement bar highlighting Savannah's deepest library collection of fine spirits and cocktails.' Visit Savannah says the cocktail menu is large enough to fill a newspaper. In Savannah Magazine (13 April 2026) bar manager Chris Schofield called it just a bar in a basement with good vibes and better cocktails.

Bandana Burger

Habersham Village · burgers, wings

A burger shop on Habersham that calls itself Savannah's late-night burger spot and posts hours until five in the morning. It is the first local name people give when someone asks where to eat after midnight. Opinion on the food is split ... fans go for the oddities like fried sandwiches, and a few commenters are blunt that they do not rate it.

BellyUp Savannah / Nightlife

Savannah Nightlife

Some rooms are a restaurant at eight and a different building at midnight.

Live music rooms, late bars and the blocks still going after the kitchens close, going by their own posted hours.

Bay Street Blues

Historic District North

Eat It and Like It (14 January 2024) calls it 'Bay Street's only dive bar' and 'Savannah's only dive bar located ON the parade route'. It wrote that 'the locals will tell you they try to avoid touristy Bay Street. They don't avoid Bay Street Blues.' The bar had just turned 20, and is known for karaoke and $1 jello shots the owner makes weekly. It opens at 8pm and only four nights a week.

The Original Pinkie Masters

Historic District South

Eat It and Like It calls it 'THE Savannah dive bar': 'Pinkie's (named for original owner Luis Christopher Masterpolis, more widely known as Pinkie) has been pouring PBRs since 1951.' The same piece corrects the famous story. Jimmy Carter did not announce his run here. On a 1978 visit he slipped out a side door of the DeSoto Hotel, walked the 30 yards over, stood on the bar and thanked Pinkie for his support. A star marks the spot. Savannah Magazine readers voted it Best Dive Bar in Best of Savannah 2026.
