A Starland wing shop founded in 2011 by Savannah resident Gary Gordon and named for his birthday, May 20th. Savannah Magazine readers voted it Best Wings in 2026, as they did in 2024. A local notes it stays open until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays.
A side-street bar a block off Bay Street. Eat It and Like It (14 May 2024): 'This bar's claim to fame? Art. In the form of hundreds of renditions of Abraham Lincoln drawn (by locals and tourists alike) on cocktail napkins.' The same piece says it has seating inside and out and is dog-friendly.
The address is a lane, not a street ... Broughton Lane runs behind the shops on West Broughton. The bar calls itself 'a classy 1870's hidden gem basement bar highlighting Savannah's deepest library collection of fine spirits and cocktails.' Visit Savannah says the cocktail menu is large enough to fill a newspaper. In Savannah Magazine (13 April 2026) bar manager Chris Schofield called it just a bar in a basement with good vibes and better cocktails.
A burger shop on Habersham that calls itself Savannah's late-night burger spot and posts hours until five in the morning. It is the first local name people give when someone asks where to eat after midnight. Opinion on the food is split ... fans go for the oddities like fried sandwiches, and a few commenters are blunt that they do not rate it.

Eat It and Like It (14 January 2024) calls it 'Bay Street's only dive bar' and 'Savannah's only dive bar located ON the parade route'. It wrote that 'the locals will tell you they try to avoid touristy Bay Street. They don't avoid Bay Street Blues.' The bar had just turned 20, and is known for karaoke and $1 jello shots the owner makes weekly. It opens at 8pm and only four nights a week.
The Savannah Jams guide (24 March 2026) describes a classic Tybee dive, 'loud, salty, no-frills', with blues and rock bands on Saturday nights from 9pm to 1am and no cover.
A Wilmington Island neighborhood bar and grill on Johnny Mercer Boulevard that opens at 10 in the morning and pours until 2am on weeknights. Savannah Magazine readers voted it runner-up for best dive bar in the 2026 Best of Savannah list, behind The Original Pinkie Masters. Happy hour runs Monday to Friday, 4pm to 7pm.
A pizza bar set back from Highway 80, nowhere near the beach strip. Savannah Magazine readers voted it the Pizza winner in Best of Savannah 2026. The Savannah Jams live music guide (24 March 2026) lists bands in 'the backyard courtyard' on Friday and Saturday nights from 10pm to 1am.

Nickie's is a bar and grill on Butler Avenue at the south end, one block from Tybrisa Street. The Main Street directory posts it open until 3 a.m. every night, which makes it one of the latest kitchens-and-bars on the island by posted hours. It took part in Tybee Island Restaurant Week in August 2026.
A 21-and-over bar on Abercorn whose kitchen runs until midnight six nights a week. It comes up in both 2026 late-night food threads; one commenter calls the burger and fries the only answer, another says to order the fried chicken and wait the half hour. Locals argue over whether it is a real dive or a clean bar dressed like one.
Eat It and Like It calls it 'THE Savannah dive bar': 'Pinkie's (named for original owner Luis Christopher Masterpolis, more widely known as Pinkie) has been pouring PBRs since 1951.' The same piece corrects the famous story. Jimmy Carter did not announce his run here. On a 1978 visit he slipped out a side door of the DeSoto Hotel, walked the 30 yards over, stood on the bar and thanked Pinkie for his support. A star marks the spot. Savannah Magazine readers voted it Best Dive Bar in Best of Savannah 2026.
The Rail Pub says its building 'has been everything from a watering hole for railroad laborers, to a boarding house and a brothel since its opening in 1890.' Karaoke runs, in the pub's words, 'every damn night @ 9pm.' Fridays are Free Fried Chicken Fridays with live music in the yard, and the website counts down the days to St. Patrick's Day. Happy hour lasts all day on Monday.
A River Street dive that advertises the 'Coldest, Cheapest Beer in Town.' It has live music every weekend and an open mic night every Thursday. Connect Savannah readers named it a finalist for best River Street bar in 2022, and the bar's site now carries a Connect Best of Savannah 2026 badge.
The Wormhole calls itself 'your favorite neighborhood dive and music venue', a casual place 'with an artistic flair and charm.' It says it may host 'a concert of any genre you can think of (metal, swing, country, punk, electronic, flamenco...)', plus stand up comedy and a long-running open mic that Connect Savannah readers voted the city's best in 2022.
